Clinic for Trauma Surgery, Orthopaedics and
Plastic Surgery

Orthobionics

Our focus areas include orthobionics, technical orthopaedics, neuro-orthopaedics, and foot surgery. As part of our orthobionics work, we collaborate with the Private University of Applied Sciences Göttingen (PFH), whose Centre for Healthcare Technology (ZHT) is located at the UMG. Read more about each individual field here:

Technical orthopaedics

We organise the provision of orthoses and prostheses and work together in an interdisciplinary team to develop concepts relating to aids and appliances for those suffering from multiple disabilities.

Foot surgery

We provide conservative and surgical treatment for both congenital and acquired foot deformities, clubfoot, foot drop, flat valgus foot, as well as forefoot deformities, hallux valgus and claw toes.

Neuro-orthopaedics

When it comes to the field of neuro-orthopaedics, we deal with people of all ages and treat deformities of the upper and lower extremities that are related to neurological conditions, e.g., cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, or apoplexy. We correct complex foot deformities and carry out hip reconstructions and multi-level procedures.
